Serve in a Collins glass

Ingredients:
1 oz Gentian liqueur (e.g. Suze, Salers etc)
1 oz Strucchi Bianco Vermouth
34 oz Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
2 12 oz Thomas Henry Soda Water
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Collins glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.
  3. Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.
  4. STIR first 3 ingredients with ice.
  5. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.
  6. TOP with soda and briefly stir.
  7. EXPRESS grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and use as garnish.

Definitely smoky, as the name suggests, but not overly so and very well balanced overall. Will add it to the list of light aperitivo servings.

I like all the components, but this didn't work for me. Might try with slightly less mezcal or maybe the same spec but with a little grapefruit or lemon juice.

Felt exactly the same. Planning to try one that just omits the mezcal.
