Review:

Although rum is the main ingredient in this cocktail it plays something of a backseat to the more assertive flavours of cherry eau-de-vie and cherry liqueur. The High Horse is best appreciated as an after-dinner drink/nightcap.

Great after dinner or evening sipper. We used Kirk & Sweeney Gran Reserve rum. Could taste the rum, but the cherry is the front flavour. Would have again.
