Ingredients:
1 12 oz Patrón Silver blanco tequila
34 oz Pallini Limoncello liqueur
34 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
13 oz Agave syrup
3 drop Saline solution 4:1 (20g sea salt to 80g water)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lemon wedge.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.
  5. Garnish with lemon wedge.

This was excellent! Then again, I love limoncello. Swapping the triple sec for it is genius.

This is a nice drink, and I think my overall opinion of it was swayed by two things:

1. Although Margaritas are delicious at any time of the year, March isn't exactly peak season in Canada, and;

2. The tequila blanco we had on hand had some very smokey notes that didn't jive too well with the sweetness of this cocktail.

So, we (my bride and I) will revisit this one in warmer weather with a more neutral tequila and see how we fare.

A very pleasant cocktail. Don't gulp it down...sipping it slowly will allow it to deepen.

I don't think this will ever be a Classic outstanding Margarita but its definitely refreshing and slips down easily.
Slightly on the sweet side for me.
