Didn’t really get the cola but I used monkey shoulder, cocci di Torino Rossi and fresh pineapple but liked it much better with rocks.

I was out of elderflower unfortunately so I made this with Brerentzen apple schnapps and St. George’s pear brandy and it was amazing can’t wait to try it with the elderflower. The rosemary is the key, goes perfect with the pear and apple.
Maybe I should have made it with gin or maybe I just don't like candy drinks but this was way too sweet for me I did use pomegranate juice instead of cranberry but it would definitely have to be unsweetened cranberry Will not make again but the Ramos chocolate fizz was great
Made with luxardo apricot since my peach was in my other residence but was way to sweet.
Perhaps our new POTUS should try a few of these and calm down since he likes McKinley and his tariffs so much (sorry Simon I couldn’t resist). Great old school cocktail that is improved with quality ingredients. One and done for the day though.
I was curious as to why the photograph seems to contain ice and the description doesn’t so I made one of each and preferred the one with ice. Probably something to do with being an American.
I kind of like the original better so I combined both withe the muddled fresh ginger and the liqueur and it was even better, left out the sugar syrup though
Reduced hazelnut to 15ml and it was still all I could taste but I’m not a big fan of hazelnut liqueur so I will try 5ml next time since I’m trying to get rid of my bottle of Frangelico.
Love the drink with ginger beer but haven’t tried with ginger ale, but I think it’s probably better with G beer.
Not a fan of sweet Tiki. I was curious about Vic’s cocktails, this was a blast from the past. Dad the Major and fam were stationed at Schofield Barracks on Oahu. I was 12 left at 16. I saw plenty of menehunes (the equivalent of an Irish leprechaun). I wasn’t of legal drinking age, it was the early 70’s, with plenty of substances making meme- hunes appear often. Hawaii has changed since the 70’s We’ve destroyed the islands through greed and tourism. Love the juice with just orgeat though.
Was wondering what pink sugar was in the original recipe, something like Himalayan salt or just sugar that’s been treated with food coloring.
The AI god claims it’s a perfume but surely that didn’t exist in 1896 and why would you want to smell like cotton candy anyway

Didn’t have any blue curaçao since I find it way to sweet so I used dry curaçao and it was still sweet but not unbearably although not as pretty.
Red Indians Simon? Really? We prefer to be called indigenous Americans. What name do you use for people that are actually from India? Brown Indians?
Why separate the white from the yolk? My sister does this. Seems to work just as well if egg is beaten until frothy and the put in the rest of ingredients for a wet and dry shake. Not criticizing, just genuinely curious, sis doesn’t know she’s just following old family recipe
I was speculative about this at first but since I love just about anything that contains ginger beer I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. It tastes even more like you’re drinking cumulus clouds in a citrus grove than the original made with club soda. I definitely recommend giving this a try
Way to much half and half. Might want to cut it down to 30ml and add a little sugar if not using sickly sweet kahlua.
Ehh, could be the quality of my coconut rum, I used Bacardi, used Tempus Fugit banana. The coconut was all I could taste, maybe equal amounts coconut and banana, 15 mg, I will try, but I think it might be the Bacardi.
I shook everything but the ginger beer first really well to emulsify the egg then added the ginger beer to avoid an accident. I think this is more than 0.2 drinks.
Finally opened my new bottle of Rainwater Madeira. I believe I like the New York Flip or Coffee flip with tawny port better. Is there any reason this cocktail doesn't use a dry shake after the wet one?
I didn't want to open a new bottle of port before leaving for vacation so substituted byrrh that I was trying to finish up. It was good but more subdued than the original.
Love this drink. However sometimes I up the becherovka to 10ml, use 5ml real grenadine and 5ml sugar syrup. Then I make into a long drink by adding one large ice ball and top off with tonic using a Collins glass. My girlfriend suggested that it is now a Bonded Vesper and Tonic.
I was supposed to see Neil Young tonight at a really good outdoor venue and it was postponed two hours before the show because one of the crew had health issues. Made the stinger first, have had them before and loved them. So this time so I poured a splash of ginger beer because there were only a little bit left in the bottle. Is pretty good, Until someone give's me a better name for the drink I'll call it the Chicago Midnight Medicine with instructions 🎵🎸🥁🎹drink two hours before show.
have not made this cocktail yet but it is on my list for later tonight. I was curious; is this cocktail named after the band King Crimsons' song "In the Court of the Crimson King? I will get back later on how I like the drink.
