16 fl oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur

Prepare

  1. Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

Method

  1. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. Garnish with maraschino cherry.

History

This classic blend of rum, lime and sugar, but with a hint of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and maraschino. A user-friendly version of a Hemingway Special.

Used Plantation 3 yr Rum. Starts sweet but quickly fades to a citrus sourness. Surprisingly, the Luxardo comes through quite prominently at the end
