Great...and that's my last word on the matter.

I used a lowered measure of Chartreuse green and level cut of Barrow's ginger... Good, but surprisingly dry. (29 Feb 2024, 4:43p)

Delightful cocktail. Found it just a tad sweet, but not overly. Was expecting a sweet cocktail. Added a couple of drops of grapefruit bitters and balanced the sweetness for us. Forgot that the candied ginger added a bit more sweetness.
Would definitely to again as I have a husband who loves ginger.

Very pleasing. I love the Domaine de Canton Ginger, and it can hold its own in this mix. The wild card for this cocktail for me was the Chartreuse —which is almost impossible to get here in the US. So I substituted Absinthe, and the result was wonderful.

Perhaps not my favourite Last Word variation but still pretty tasty. Perhaps due to my choice of ginger liqueur next time I'll use a bit more.

Nice variation, spicy from the ginger, herby from the chartreuse. Rather depends on the fieriness of the ginger. I had Crabbies which is good and fiery, but my current Giffard’s doesn’t pack quite the same punch.

A bit of a let down. The Yellow Chartreuse gets lost in the mix and the Cognac and Ginger really do not assert themselves. Less than the sum of its parts.
