Review:

A dry spirit-led sipper with faint floral and chocolate notes. Perhaps forgo the grated chocolate garnish in favour of a square of dark chocolate balanced on Turkish Delight.

Very unusual! Definitely a cocktail better than the sum of its parts. The combination finishes up as rather mysterious —it suggests something that you can't quite put your finger on. I like this one very much.

I loved the idea of this cocktail, so it was kinda disappointing to find out the reality doesn’t live up to the dream, because the lovely, ethereal, floral perfume wafting from the liqueurs in my mixing glass - this being the aspect of this drink I’d most loved - was all but obliterated when I duped all that brandy on top. If found there was no floral smell left, only a lingering trace of a taste that combined with a hefty amount of spirits reminded me of drinking perfume when I was little.

I didn't have the Martini and Rosso Sweet Vermouth so I used Dolin Blanc sweet vermouth. Very mellow. Glad I tried this one.

This is an astoundingly great and surprising quaff! It combines 3 of my favorite things: cognac-based cocktails, crème de violette, and rose liqueur. I used a crème de violette and crème de rose from a very small distillery here in France called Distillerie Salamandre north of Toulouse. Used some grated dark Swiss chocolate by Villars in Fribourg, though we normally do not have lokum on hand. Will try to get some for the next take! Just a lovely cocktail, a new top 5 for me I'd say.
