Review:

Depending on how you view this, it's a traditional Gin & Tonic with a splash of bitter liqueur adding colour and herbal fruity complexity. Or a G&T take on the classic Negroni cocktail.

It's very good - how can it not be? - but I prefer the Italian G&T. The Campari is quite dominant and the gin is only really there to provide some backbone.

Aim for 4oz / 120ml of tonic water.

I love Campari and agree with the ratio here. I had a little extra tonic to polish off but Campari comes through. Definitely a 5 rating

I love minimalist cocktails and in this one I took the liberty of giving a flavor upgrade by infusing the campari with strawberries. It was magnificent.

I've always been a one part (60ml) to part (120ml) G&T person. Same ratio for the Milanese G&T- 30/30/120ml. Served in ice filled double rocks glass. More enjoyable and agreeable than a Negroni.

I don't particularly like London dry gin, or Campari, or tonic. But this is somehow a very well balanced drink with only a subtle bitterness; and I like it, more than a little. Made with Gordon's London Dry, Campari (28.5%) and Fever Tree Premium Indian. What is balancing out the bitterness?

Re: balancing out the bitterness: my guess would be the sugar in the tonic and Campari.

Delicious aperitif. Simple, easy to make yet with a sophistacated air. Dangerously easy to drink…

Loved this. Not being a Negroni fan, was unsure of this. It has the bitterness of the Negroni, but has a lightness that we found very pleasant. Would do this again. Perfect anytime, but it was great on a warm Autumn afternoon.
