1/2 fl oz Orange Curaçao liqueur
1 fl oz Strucchi Rosso Vermouth
1 1/2 fl oz Blood orange juice
1 dash Orange Bitters by Angostura

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of blood orange slice wheel.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with blood orange slice.

Review:

Basically, a gin and juice but the orange juice is of the "bloody" variety and amplified by orange curaçao and orange bitters with vermouth adding rich herbal complexity.

A bloody good pun on Harry Craddock's Damn-the-Weather in his 1930 The Savoy Cocktail. This cocktail comes to Difford's Guide thanks to a comment left by decerning drinker, Matthew French.
