2 fl oz Patrón Reposado (orange seal) 100% agave tequila
¾ fl oz Lejay Creme de Cassis de Dijon liqueur (18%)
1 fl oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
Top up with Three Cents Ginger Beer

How to make:

SHAKE first 3 ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass. TOP with ginger beer.

Garnish:

Lime wedge

Comment:

The tequila, red fruit and ginger aren't exactly a subtle combination but it is one that has proved both popular and enduring.

UK bartenders and other countries where 25ml and 50ml measures are standard may prefer this recipe:

50ml Tequila reposado
20ml Crème de cassis
25ml Freshly squeezed lime juice
Top with Ginger beer

Thought to have originated in California during the 1940's. The name translates as 'The Devil'.
