How to make:

SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

Lemon zest twist (discarded) plus float 3 coffee beans on surface

Forget the 'Vodka Red Bull', this is the cocktail connoisseur's way of combining caffeine and vodka.

Some prefer the simpler equal parts version of the Espresso Martini but we think our recipe a tad more balanced. Obviously, if you prefer your espresso on the bitter side then omit the sugar syrup. Other variations include: Pharmaceutical Stimulant Vodka Espresso Espresso Daiquiri Insomniac Irish Coffee Cocktail Jalisco Espresso Jolt'ini

Created by the legendary Dick Bradsell in 1983, you can read the full story behind this popular cocktail, much of it in Dick's own words, on our Espresso Martini encyclopedia page.
