Lovely sipper. Great "Red Hook" riff. I was first concerned that without the punch of the Rye, the Maraschino would take over. It did not, and this is Lovely. Will be trying with a quality Añejo Tequila next!

Very, very dry. All I have is a grocery store Very Dry Sherry so I likely need a higher quality to really determine if this is right. I do taste the complexity of this however; its deep with the rye and the walnut bitters.
Yes, Px Sherry is very sweet, very rich and strong, lovely raisins. No substitute for it, imo.
