Perfectly balanced with all the different flavours of each ingredient identifiable. Having done a side-by-side tasting of all our American Whiskeys each have unique characteristics and tastes. Definitely feel all the ingredients are necessary to replicate the flavours.
Perfect aperitif to have before a classic New Orleans Creole Dinner.

It's possible to overthink a cocktail (3 whiskeys??). I tried to keep it simple and focus on the bittersweet cola bite. Used 1 oz WhistlePig 6 year old rye & 1 oz Taylor Garrett "Bourbon mash" whiskey (Albuquerque's finest) with the specified Averna & Aperol. No dehydrated orange so I threw in the twist. After tasting I decided it would benefit from a good dash of Bogart's Bitters; it did. This nicely enlarges and diversifies the Sazerac---Vieux Carre' family of New Orleans whiskey cocktails.
