For me the general sweetness diminished the balance, the Speyside whisky had no chance.

Had as an aperitif and it was perfect. Did find it a bit sweet for our tastes, so we added 3 drops of orange bitters (since the garnish was orange zest). Bitters lessened the sweetness. Both versions were wonderful.

Excellent sipper. Very smooth, easy to drink. I used a 12 year Cragganmore and it paired excellent.

Works also great with lightly peated malt Whisky, like Bowmore 12.
