How to make

Glass

Prepare

Select and pre-chill a NICK & NORA GLASS.

Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

Method

STIR all ingredients with ice.

FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Damn this is good. I was not expecting it to be as balanced as it is. It’s strong though! Be ready for a punch in the face that you actually like and want more of. Whoever named it was a genius

Really nice balance here, both the scotch and "absinthe" (pastis in my case) fighting for dominance and coming through during different parts of the sip. Wish the Averna came through a more though, just barely get a whiff of it before the pastis takes over the scotch.

This was a interestingly balanced drink. The absinth and the Peat of the scotch have a very odd but good balance. Wasn't sure what I was getting into when I decided to try it, but glad I did.

In two words this is "Peated Orange". And it's delicious. I used Scrappy's Orange Bitters and Kilchoman Machir Bay, and it was a delight.

Heavy metal girl here almost fell off my chair when came across this one. Was on the list of cocktails using Averna Amaro as I have a bottle and wanted to make something with it, so had chosen Red Head for tonight, it’s only after I noticed this one OMG, that’ll be for n 2 weeks cheers

Not being a big Whisky drinker (odd since 1/2 of my family are in Scotland), I found this very good. Used 1/2 single malt and 1/2 Islay as I am not a fan of too much smoky.
