Wonderful!!! But the colour on the picture is not correct: it is more yellow-brown.

Wonderful summer drink!
a bit too drinkable...used Compari instead of Aperol...no sugar....and upped Gin to 2 oz for more spirit forward experience
Campari instead of Aperol - it is Old Acquaintance! )
Wonderful! Tried it in "winter" variation - without ice.
Oh, help me please, I broke my mind: what did Albert Crockett mean by the instruction to serve "frappe"?
Hello Simon! I noticed that it is so close to SKIPPER by Albert Crockett. Maybe you can add SKIPPER to the Guide? Page 162 of Old Waldorf Bar Days: two thirds gin, one fourth Maraschino, dash of orange juice, dash of lemon juice. Shake!
And what is the meaning of "frappe" in the book? I thoght it was something like "shake", but maybe it means to serve with crushed ice?

What if I cancel an egg white?
Aside from being served in a different glass, this is identical to the Dubonnet Cocktail #1. Am I missing something or is something missing?
Lemon juice also added.
Is it a favourite drink of queen Elizabeth?
Oh, too much cranberry juice!
Rye was replaced by boubon, Creol-style bitters - by Angostura. And no sugar. Well, it's very nice!
Great drink in summer!
One of my favourite martinis! :)
Super!!!
Wonderful!! Grate Campari-Cassis duet!
Can I use gin instead vodka, I wonder...
Oh.... Too sweet for me. Kir 15 ml maximum.
I think the recipe misses some very important ingredient. Lemon twist!!!
That reminds me the way we drink sambuca in Moscow. No water and sugar; just flame the sambuca, let it burn a little (you need to twist cognac glass). Then pour burning sambuca in an old-fashioned glass and drink immediately! In addition you can inhale sambuca vapor from the cognac glass.
Well, this is very interesting recipe, but it is definitely not the "mulled wine" as it is prepared in Europe.
Interesting, I have met the same recipe named "Artillery".
My wife's favorite drink :)
