I had to add two dashes of Angostura orange bitters to make it work for me.
After reading the customizations for this drink, I ended up using 1 oz of Campari and 1 oz of sweet vermouth, then topped it off with San Pellegrino Aranciata Rossa. It turned out to be a different drink, but I enjoyed it!
I replaced the sugar syrup with crème de cassis and I really like it
I tried the Daiquiri (Difford's recipe) yesterday and loved it. I was curious about this version with light gold rum, but found it a bit too sweet and less balanced compared to the 3:2:1 white rum recipe. Now I know my favorite ;)
I followed the recipe. It’s nice and fresh, but it tastes quite sweet and I feel like no particular flavor stands out—I miss the kick from tequila or the orange liqueur.
It's on my favorite list now.
Mine had a quite strong almond flavor and was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. Next time, I’ll try using less orgeat.
The robust simplicity and authenticity reminds me of a negroni. With good quality ingredients and fresh citrus you almost can’t go wrong. Brilliant.
I thought exactly the same. Solid drink.
I'm not sure about this drink... I was excited to try it since it has nine ingredients. It's definitely refreshing—you can taste the ginger (I used Fever-Tree Ginger Beer)—but the bitters are a bit overpowering. Maybe using just one dash of each instead of two would make it more enjoyable for me.
Interesting
It started off a bit too sweet for me, but I fixed it with a few dashes of Campari. Really nice
beautiful
I used Calvados and Cocci same ratio and found it a bit sweet for me, but still interesting.
I like it but the lemon seems to overpour the drink. Expected it to be a little more complex - might try .5 oz of lemon next time.
same here
I read it several times to make sure the ingredients weren't inverted :D
I do equal parts Campari-Cocchi Torino-Beefeater London Dry + Orange oils. Lovely!
