Perhaps the best Last Word variant I have ever made. Perhaps even better than the Last Word itself. 4 fresh sage leaves in the shaker and fine strain on the pour. So amazing!

I am keen to hear about any negronis that are made with rosé vermouth. I have a bottle from Vault which seems ideal, but it would be interesting to hear if anyone has had success using it. Cheers.

It’s Friday as you post this… seems like an experiment for you to report back on in the name of community!

If you want to try an interesting variant of this… swap the rum for some Skrewball Peanut-butter Whiskey. I’d say it’s not as complex but if you like peanut butter on your banana or are looking to channel your inner Elvis - it’s not half bad.

This is great! Had to make my own advocaat here in the US. I would recommend double straining this to get all ice crystals out as you pour into the glass as the presentation is much nicer. Even a dusting of cinnamon to add a festive touch without a garnish. (Or both for people to ohh and ahh)

Had to make this based on name alone. Interesting wouldn’t say we loved it but it’s very pretty. Would probably make again for visiting elves during the holiday tho.

This was really surprising. Definitely one of those cocktails where it’s more than the sum of its parts.

The expressed lemon oil on the surface of the cocktail is critical.

Make this and impress someone with the sloe gin and the history lesson!

The instructions are a bit “not right”. You express the orange into the glass. But then mix everything in the glass and then strain into the same glass? I know you are good Simon - but I wanna see that!

Made this with a 5 year Plantation Rum. Very balanced and different. It’s like a Manhattan on an island. Will make again with a darker stronger rum to see what that’s like. This is great cocktail to play with different rims and whiskeys!

This cocktail is bangers! Playing with sweetness and ratios - I feel like I’m this drink I have discovered something to ease my “where has all the Chartreuse gone” blues!
