This was just ok for me. A bit too sweet for me. Maybe try it without the sweet vermouth next time.

Made it as described and found it delightful! A nice balance of flavors. This could be a good introduction to mezcal for someone. We'll definitely make this one again!
How have we never had this cocktail?! It's a mystery. We really enjoyed it on a muggy July evening! Well balanced as written. I didn't think "refreshing" when I read the ingredients, but it was. This will go into our rotation for sure!
We enjoyed this as much, if not more than the Last Word! We tried this version, enjoyed it. Then we tried it with 2 oz. of gin, and preferred it. We felt it was more balanced, tastier, and had a lighter taste overall.
Delicious! Next time I shall swap out the sugar syrup for orgeat.
We tried your version last night and really enjoyed it! Thanks for the idea.
We made this with an aged agricole rum from Hawaii and really enjoyed it! Very tasty. This will definitely go into the rotation. It's a more tropical Last Word we felt, which was a good thing. Next time we may try increasing the rum a bit as we like more spirit forward cocktails.
I find equal parts is too Suze-heavy, and prefer this 1.5oz gin, 1oz Lillet and 3/4oz Suze.
Thank you for the suggestion! I agree the original is a bit too heavy for us. We enjoyed this variation.
This was delicious and refreshing on a warm day! Our variation...lime instead of lemon (just didn't have lemons), served neat in large coupe. This would be good on rocks as well.
We really enjoyed the flavors, but it was a bit too sweet for us. Our solution? Increase the rum! We'd go 1.5oz to 2oz of the rum.
Crème de violette, Blueberries (fresh), Light white rum, Lime juice, (+ 3 more)
I was so excited to try this recipe! Then I realized we didn't have any lavender syrup. So, I subbed 1/4 oz. blueberry liquor and 1/4oz. simple for the lavender syrup. It was delightful! I think I'll call it Blue Violet Daiquiri.
We really enjoyed this cocktail on a rainy, cool May afternoon. I did reduce the St. Germain to 3/4 oz. and it was the perfect balance for us. The absinthe comes on strong, but it quickly shares the stage with the bourbon, elderflower and cognac for a delicious, smooth, complex finish. This will go into our rotation for sure.
We enjoyed this cocktail! A bit sweet for me. Next time I will leave out the simple. But overall, well balanced and tasty. I think this would be a good introduction drink for someone not sure about bourbon.
Bourbon whiskey, Orange-red aperitivo, Aromatized wine
Delicious and easy to make! This will go into our rotation for sure. Made exactly as described.
This was just ok. A pleasant drink. I enjoyed it, but not sure I would make it again.
We really enjoyed this! Unique flavor and not too sweet. Will definitely make again.
Rye whiskey 45% abv, Orange-red aperitivo, Grapefruit soda
This is delicious! We are making a large batch to take to our Thanksgiving gathering. We used Bolthouse Farms 100% Carrot Juice. We did up the cinnamon sugar syrup to 1/4 oz. (We made our own cinnamon simple syrup which I think might not be as potent as the store bought, so we needed a bit more.)
Blanco tequila, Elderflower liqueur, Lime juice
We really enjoyed this! We did tweak it a bit. We did 2 oz. bourbon to 1 oz. dry vermouth, and 1 tsp. of grenadine w/ no simple. Everything else the same. Really nice! Will definitely make again.
This is just delicious! We had it the night before leaving for a beach vacation. One of our new favorites. Next time we will try cutting back on the St. Germain, we prefer less sweet cocktails.
We just discovered Strega and love it! We really enjoyed this cocktail. Not liking a lot of sweetness typically, we did not add the simple syrup. Next time, we are going to try going down 1/4 oz. on the Strega and the OJ. This is one of our new favorites!
